So, I don't know if you all heard that Miss Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2010 last night. How exciting for her and the people of Mexico!
I thought she looked gorgeous! Gah, I wish I were as pretty, lol. Anyway, while I wanted to let you guys know that she had won I also wanted to touch upon another aspect of this whole thing. I was just on celestrellas.com and was reading an article about the pageant. The article just mentions the night's happenings but then when you get down to the comment section some people become completely ridiculous!
For example:
Betty- "How political can you get.I told my husband when it first started it would be Miss Mexico. Wow, ture to form."
And someone by the name of MCB responded to her statement with:
"I totally agree with you Betty and thats exactly what me an a lot of people I talked to about this junk a couple of days ago about it coming on TV. We all thought the fix was in for her from the start. Maybe she needs to be thanking not only the paid off judges but maybe obummer and his political czars that pull these "fixes" for him that made this happen. May her reign be a short on because she won only because of politics. Anyone who does not see this plainy is still sipping the Koolaid. New senate majority in November.... can't wait."
Seriously are fucking kidding me? Holy hell people, what is up with all the crazy ass conspiracy theories? Look, I'm not saying that politics didn't have anything to with it. Everything usually does have some sort of politics involved but to takes ones assumptions that far is completely ridiculous! Truthfully, what has anyone to gain by who is named Miss Universe? I think very little if anything at all.
I think another commenter put it the best:
April- "Its funny how everything that we disagree about is turned into a political issue. Its a freaken beauty pageant. Miss Mexico won... plain and simple. Miss Venezuela was Miss Universe last year. Did anyone cry about Hugo Chavez having a smear campaign againts George Bush?
Is it the Mexicans bombing your builings or creating terrorism? Is it Obama running the beauty pageant?
No Fools!..."
I think it's about time we stop spreading all this freaken hate! I'm so freaken tired of it! >.< Get a fucken grip people and work to make the world a better place and not a shit hole!
Ok, I'll step off of my soap box now. As Toby Turner would say, "Bless your face and peace off!"
PS. I loved her dress! I think the red really made her stand out against the rest of the contestants.

:( This was my face when I found out I missed it. I didn't watch it but I had read an article on the contestasts that would be competing.
Many were rooting for Ms. Haiti b/c they saw her as a true representation of everything that has happened in Haiti. She lost her baggage during her flight to the pageant so the other contestants lent her clothing, makeup, shoes, etc.
She's really pretty too but I'm happy for Ms. Mexico! :) The haters will always be haters & if they knew what the outcome would be then why in the world did they watch it?
It's like all the Twilight haters who watched it anyway & then complained that it sucked. lol So who's the fool? Them for watching it when they knew it would suck! lol
I agree with the user named April. I can just picture Obama focusing all his attention on making sure that Ms. Mexico won the pageant. lol People are ridiculous!!
Aww,I didn't know all that happened to Miss Hatti, but my mom had said that she was one of the girls thought would win.
I didn't actually watch the pageant, I just read about it. LOL. I forgot to watch it.
I didn't even know about the pageant until my mom told me to change the channel lol. We ended up seeing most of the pageant.
Seriously I was watching and I couldn't believe just how pretty all of them looked! I immediately turned to my mom and told her I wished I could look like that too. lol I do agree on her dress, the color and fabric was just beautiful! I loved it and it really did make her stand out.
As LifesABee stated haters will be haters and they will continue to be so for a long time. I can't believe that some people will go to such great lengths as to say that the President had something to do with the outcome....seriously people?! COME ON!! As if our president didn't have more pressing matters.
I really loved the quote, "Bless your face and peace off!" I think I shall use it from now on :)
Congratulations Ms. Mexico!! :)
PS: I would love to have their Victoria secret model hair and not this lame frizz ball I have hahaha
Hahahaha, I loved their Victoria Secret hair too. Such volume! Mine would never stay like that. :( LOL.
You know what we should a glam night! Hahahaha get ourselves all done up. :P
It's funny that you mention it because I've been thinking of a glam night for a long time! I was going to use my bday as a reason to, meaning I would go for a hollywood theme or something but as we all know, it was way too damn hot for that.
So, perhaps we should do it for Crimnerd's bday since it's coming up next. :P
Well, Party of 3 is first but she's not here & it's still hot during her bday (aka 2morrow). We should do something this weekend like go see a movie & have her go see it too. Then, we can all talk about the movie as if we had gone to see it together. :)
I loved the red dress but I wish I could have seen the dress she wore to represent the country. Everyone said those gowns were awesome. Did you see it StephluvsCoffee?
LOL, I too really wanted to see her costume dress thing! I heard that people were all amazed by it.
Hell, I'm game for the glam night thing on me bday. I wasn't planning on doing anything at all. Was just gonna let it pass as another day.
What movie? As long as it isn't the stupid ass Vamp movie I'm solid. :P
lol No!! No vamp movie for me! I don't know, guess we better find out what's playing. :P
