Update on SB1070
Have you read the amended bill? It states that they can't use race, color, or national origin as the basis for determining immigration status & that a person is considered to be here legally if he/she is able to provide the law enforcement officer or agency with any of the following:
1. A VALID ARIZONA DRIVER LICENSE.
2. A VALID ARIZONA NONOPERATING IDENTIFICATION LICENSE.
3. A VALID TRIBAL ENROLLMENT CARD OR OTHER FORM OF TRIBAL IDENTIFICATION.
4. IF THE ENTITY REQUIRES PROOF OF LEGAL PRESENCE IN THE UNITED STATES BEFORE ISSUANCE, ANY VALID UNITED STATES FEDERAL, STATE OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ISSUED IDENTIFICATION.
This is much better than having to carry your birth certificate, visa, etc. with you.

Get this bull!
Last night I decided to call the police dept. to see if my report was in records so I could get a copy of it. I need the copy of the report to ask the companies where the purchases were made to give me all the info they have on who made the purchase. When I called the police dept. they told me there was no report filed, that it was just an "event". Are you kidding? That means they're not investigating crap! So, I'm going to have to do the investigation myself & hope that the person responsible gets arrested! This is not cool at all, why would they not file a report? I don't get it! I'm very dissapointed in the darn police force...are they not taking this serious?! It's theft people! Whether I got reimbursed for it or not, it's still considered theft. How could you not take it serious? I really don't get it!
Projectile Vomiting Sucks!
Well, yesterday when I was getting ready for work, baby H got sick & started vomiting out of nowhere. We changed his clothes & put him back to sleep. Later on in the day, he got sick again & vomited. All day long I kept feeling nauseous & I thought I was going to puke. My co-worker kept asking me if I was pregnant! lol I'm not but it probably would have been better to puke for a reason than to be puking for nothing.
So, I managed to hold on at work all day & when I got home, I took a nap for about 45 minutes only to wake up with projectile vomit. It was so gross! I hate vomiting as is but I haven't vomited that bad since I was pregnant with Baby H & it sure as hell sucked!
This morning, my stomach is still upset & I had a hard time keeping my eyes open on the way here. Scary! What if I would have fallen asleep at the wheel??! I'm crazy for coming to work despite feeling like crap but that's just me. I can't do it unless I really absolutely can't function at all. So, we'll see how I feel in a few more hours but if I start getting a fever, can't stay awake, or puke again, I'm going home.
Is there some kind of flu virus going around?

Improve Your Credit Score
Below you will find an online article I found on WalletPop on how to improve your credit Score. I copied & pasted it but you will find it at 5 Easy Ways to Improve Your Credit Score by Martha C. White
We here at WalletPop spend a lot of time telling you how important your credit score is, but how do you make sure that crucial number is the best it can be? Having a good credit score isn't just handy for bragging rights (although we'd never deny you those!), but also for getting access to the best rates and terms on everything from personal loans to a mortgage.
But how do you increase your credit score? You know it's key to pay your bills on time (and you already do that...right?), but what about those extra, above-and-beyond moves that can help spike your credit score? Well, we've got them here. WalletPop spoke to experts in personal credit along with a few financially savvy Americans to find out the best things you can do to give that credit score a boost.

Carrie Rocha (pictured), a blogger from Minneapolis, used a multifaceted strategy to raise her credit score from 740 to over 800 over the course of a few years. She tells WalletPop she pared down $50,000 in credit card debt and culled the number of credit accounts she had open. "It felt freeing," Rocha says. "I can buy what I want to buy, and I can get the best deals and rates. It feels great to know my past is in the past and not haunting my future."
Rocha hit on a few of the top tactics you can use to improve your score. Read on to see what our experts recommend for getting your credit score up to snuff.
1. Repair credit report errors.
Get a copy of your credit report, then look it over carefully, all of our experts advised. There are often mistakes on credit reports, and those mistakes could be hurting your credit score. For instance, if a retailer or lender is still reporting an outstanding debt you paid off, that can ding you. So can an error that shows an older, closed account as still open. We've told you before how to go about disputing a mistake. Yes, it can be a bit of a hassle, but consider the time spent an investment in your financial health.
2. Pay down your balances.
Maybe you've heard the rule of thumb that you should never have a balance that's equal to more than 30% of your credit limit -- both per card as well as a total of the balance on all cards. Sadly, that advice hearkens back to the days when you could also get a no-money-down, adjustable-rate mortgage with a credit score of 650. In other words, it no longer applies in today's economy.
The new 30% is now 10%, according to Amber Stubbs, managing editor for CardRatings.com. In other words, if you have a credit card with a $10,000 limit, you want to keep your balance at or below $1,000 at all times. If that sounds austere, definitely don't talk to Lauren Bowne, staff attorney at watchdog group Consumers Union. She advocates a much shorter leash for your credit expenditures: no more than 3% of your credit limit. While this could mean a big change in your spending habits, since credit utilization counts for a full 30% of your credit score, lowering your utilization could make a big, positive difference in your number.
Lauren Fairbanks, a freelance writer from New York, raised her credit score 40 points -- from 580 to 620 -- by paying off $8,000 in credit card debt and $6,000 in student loan debt over the course of two years. Of her new-and-improved score, Fairbanks says, "It's still going up steadily, and I'm now up to 633." (Smarter about her own money, Fairbanks now runs a website devoted to helping young adults in New York City be fiscally savvy.)
3. Pay early.
"What some people don't realize is the balance that's reported on your credit report is the balance reported on your last billing statement," says Barry Paperno, consumer operations manager for FICO, the company that administers credit scores. "Even if you pay it off every month, if you charge a lot, it will show high utilization." In other words, it's helpful to pay off or pay down a big balance right before you go to a lender who's going to pull your credit score. And even if you generally pay off your balances in full each month, the credit report formula doesn't know that; it just sees your current balance. So if you've got the money to pay a credit card bill early and you plan to have your score pulled by a lender, do it.
Another benefit to paying early, Fairbanks points out, is avoiding the risk of getting dinged with a late fee if your check gets lost in the mail. While the recently implemented CARD Act now requires credit card companies to give you a 60-day grace period before hiking your interest rate for late payment, they can still hit you with late fees. Wouldn't you rather be using that money to pay down your debt?
4. Ask for a credit limit increase.
We already told you how important your credit utilization is. Paying down your balances and charging less are two ways to improve that ratio. Another is to request more credit from your issuers. The idea isn't that you're going to go out and run up a huge bill; rather, you simply want that credit available for the effect it has on your utilization ratio. Think about it: If you're a bank officer and two people come in looking for a loan, both with $5,000 in debt, who are you going to give it to? The person with $50,000 in available credit or the one with $6,000 available?
5. Close (certain) unused store cards.
Closing credit cards is a mixed bag. Sometimes, it can ding your score by dragging down your utilization; other times, it can be helpful if you have an overabundance of open accounts. One type of card you want to look at very carefully is retail cards. These are the cards that cashiers at malls or big-box stores will pitch you when you're checking out, sometimes trying to entice you with an offer of 10 or 20% off your purchase if you apply for a card that day.
According to FICO's Paperno, a growing number of store card issuers have stopped reporting credit limits to the three bureaus. Why does this matter? In the absence of a credit limit, the credit scoring formula substitutes your highest recent balance - which can make it look like you're maxed out.
There's no way to tell if your card issuer is doing this by just using the card or looking at your billing statement. The only way to tell is to look at your credit report. If you find cards that have begun doing this and you can live without them (which you can almost always do, right?), cancel away.
This is one tactic Rocha credits with improving her score. "I had amassed store-issued credit cards over the years with those 10% off deals," she tells WalletPop. "I didn't even have the plastic card for most of them anymore." It's a good lesson: Cleaning out some plastic can clean up your score.

We're on the path...
We finally signed all our title paperwork yesterday and we get our keys hopefully Monday. This morning we went to do a final walkthrough of the house to make sure we're ok with what was repaired, etc. We noticed some things we hadn't before like the tile & wall aren't exactly connected and the light in the laundry room doesn't work b/c it's not hooked up. Nothing too big a deal so it's cool.
Afterwards we went to look at some fridges b/c we will need one on Monday. When we got home, Baby H was all happy trying to say something to my dad in law when my dad in law goes, "SHHHH!" What kind of crap is that?!! We were trying to do some laundry too so after that I was like, "let's just go to my mom's" So, we got our clothes (wet) & left. Not even because we have 2 more days left there...
I'm not looking forward to spending Sunday night there but what else is there to do right?!

A la Youtube...
So, my friend Crystal had asked me a couple of weeks ago if I would recreate a makeup look for her. But since, it was finals and graduation and all the jazz I didn't have the time to get to it until tonight, hence why this blog entry is so late.
Anyway, so I didn't know if she wanted a video or just pictures. I ended up filming it, but holy hell do you know how freaken hard it is to make a makeup tutorial? What the hell was I thinking? LOL. I must give major props to those on Youtube who make such vids because it really does take major work. So, anyway my video won't be up until I can edit it because my videographer skills are major lame. Hahaha. But I do have some pictures of the look to share.
Um, I should warn you though; this isn't a tame look in the least. It's a recreation of Amy Nicoletti's makeup from LA Ink. I've only watched that show like twice and don't ever remember seeing her on there. I went off a few pics that Crystal posted for me and I tried looking some up on my own, but seriously though it was hard to find pics on this gal. So anyway, I tried my bestest and you'll get to see how very sloppy I can be at applying making. Ha.

Look we were trying to recreate. Eh, not exactly the same, but then again I look nothing like this chick.
Ridiculously long lashes!
I need a better white eyeshadow. :/
Finished!
Mmm, ya check out that cheesy smile! :P
Items used:
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in medium dark for contour.
SHANY Bold and Bright Collection Vivid Eyeshadow, 120 Color Palette
I used the black, red, and white out of this pallet.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil Shadow Liner 604 Milk
as a base for the eyeshadow.
CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara Very Black 800, 0.21-Ounce Tube
I love this one, but it's not the one I used. Will do the job though! :)
Anastasia Brow Ex-Press Brow Palette, Blonde 1 kit
I used a sample of this. It's awesome but too damn expensive for me right now. Go for an eyeshadow the same color as your brows or slightly bit darker for this look.
Maybelline Gel Eye Liner - Black
This one works fine, but I used a Physicians Formula one in black. I got it at CVS on sale! Buy one pack of three and get the other half off! They cost the same as the Maybelline one, but hell you get way more in cool colors! I have to go back and get the other two sets. :P
Red Cherry Eyelashes #82 (6 Packs)
I actually used #202's but they don't have a link.
Lasting Finish Lipstick
- Temptation
Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner
in Diva Red
In response to Lifes a bee's latest post....

What a Nightmare!
Yesterday about noon we hear back from the realtor telling us that they are just waiting on one piece of paper to complete our loan and get the papers off to the title company. She said after that, they need 24 hrs. for HUD (FHA loan) to finalize their part. So, she estimates we'll close on Monday which is great because we were supposed to close this Monday.
Anyway, I went online to check our bank to insure we had the estimated amount that we'll need for closing in our bank. Much to my surprise, I find out that someone has stolen my card # and information to make purchases online! They have made over $500 worth of purchases with the 1st one on May 10!! I'm so mad, stressed, and worried. There's no way we can come up with over $500 by this coming Monday & we don't get paid until Friday. Either way we look at it, we'll be short & have to struggle for the next month to get that money back. What a nightmare!
My sister might loan me the money we need until we can pay her back but still, I feel so frustrated. Here's what I think happened: When we moved from the Foothills, we changed our address with our bank however they failed to change the address on time and that month we were already out, we received a bank statement there which was forwarded to our new address. So far, no big deal, right? Except that someone bought that house shortly after we moved and the bank messed up again & sent my new card to that address so it had to be forwarded to me again! A week after that happened, bam! May 10 charge happened for shoes from Canada! I remember showing that house to a Canadian couple...Coincidence??? Probably not.
I know, anybody could have stolen the bank card info. but I think it's too much of a coincidence that we showed the house to Canadians, the home was purchased last month, and my card incident happened right before my charges appeared. I haven't even activated the new card because it doesn't expire until the end of this month!!!
I think what makes me the most upset about this is the fact that if it was the Canadian couple, they knew we had baby H & ultimately this is a slap in the face to him! How are we supposed to feed him, clothe him, bathe him for that whole month that they have stolen from us?? I suppose we could postpone closing on the home another 2 weeks but why should we have to make sacrifices when we did nothing wrong?!!!
Thank God for my family who's willing to help. My little sister said she'd loan us her tax refund to close on our home next Friday but she shouldn't have to do that either b/c it doesn't even have anything to do with her. I'm just very ticked off & stressed out. I know it'll be ok but I just want it to be over. I hope they catch them & they get what they deserve!! My condolences to everyone else it has happened to.

U.S. Flag upside down!
While I do not agree with SB 1070, I also do not agree with this type of protest! See pictures below!
The protests against SB 1070 are to fight for American civil rights to protect our country not to fight with each other & disrespect the country we all love. If these students feel the need for this kind of hate crime, perhaps they need to reevaluate their priorities and decide which country they truly belong to. This is truly sad because most of these students don't even know what they're protesting for. They think SB1070 is all about HATING MEXICANS when in reality it's about trying to impose a law that will lead to racial profiling. It's not about the Mexicans...these students need to get better educated!
Some students from a different high school decided that it would be a good idea to take down the U.S. flag at Montebello High School & put it on backwards with the Mexican flag above it! This does make me mad! There's no need for all the hate & there surely is no need for the American flag to be upside down.

What's UP with society?
I came across an email from my father in law that read:
Dear President Obama:
I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico , and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements.
We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I'm on my way over?
Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
You're the man!
While it might seem perfectly innocent to pass this forward around, IT'S NOT!!!!!!! What's up with Society complaining about other cultures, races, etc. here in America? Isn't all of that what makes the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA great? The fact that we have other cultures living here...people from many racial backgrounds who are proud enough to consider themselves AMERICANS.
What exactly is that anyway??? Are we going to start separating races again & sending everyone to their original roots? If that's the case, there will be NO U.S.A. There's no such thing as an American race because it's compiled of many races: Africans, Spaniards, Germans, Asians, Mexicans, Arabs, etc. Quit trying to kill the U.S.A.!
The other countries are right! We are arrogant, think we know everything, and are going to self destruct!

Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
- Free medical care for my entire family
- English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
- Please print all Mexican Government forms in English.
- I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
- Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.
- I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.
- Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
- I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
- I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico , but I don't plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.
- In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.
- I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my housetop, put U S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
- I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
- Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.
- I want to receive free food stamps.
- Naturally, I'll expect free rent subsidies.
- I'll need income tax credits so that, although I don't pay Mexican taxes, I'll receive money from the government.
- Please arrange it so that the Mexican Government pays $4,500.00 to help me buy a new car.
- Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I'll get a monthly income in retirement.
You're the man!

Formerly Hot!
I was checking my email when I came across this article titled Formerly Hot. It caught my attention & I was curious to find out more. It turns out that it's about a 40 something woman who realizes she is no longer young & even though she misses her 20 yr. old self, she wouldn't change a thing because she realizes there's more to life than the superficial things that once used to matter.
It sounds interesting enough to read only because I sometimes feel like that. I do sometimes consider myself a FORMERLY even though I'm still in my 20's which is the sad thing. I guess children & married life do that to you. Don't get me wrong, I don't by any means consider myself old or not good looking but at the same time, I'm not in that pool of young, single ladies dressing to impress, going to nightclubs, & going home with whatever "arm candy". I never have been! I do however enjoy my life & love the fact that I don't have to dress to impress, go to nightclubs, or even date! Dating is hard, nightclubs seem like a waste of time (always have), & dressing to impress seems so uncomfortable!
My life seems to have more meaning now. I'm surrounded by the friends I love & wouldn't trade for the world, I'm being a life partner to a wonderful man I can share my life with, and I'm being a mom to a sometimes bratty little 2 year old boy who will someday grow to be a wonderful man. I'm helping to shape his future which is still full of many possibilities. The only thing missing? Perhaps a chance to pursue my career dream? I'm not worried. That'll come in time...at just the PERFECT time when I will need to occupy my time with something besides spending time with my husband and living in a home with no children. So, for now, I will continue to enjoy my life & work on my career dream. It'll keep me busy on those days of dropping off & picking up children from school, when they are teens and want to spend more time with friends than family, and once they have moved out of the house & made their own lives. What more could I want?

Summer...
Remember when Summer was the best season ever?! What was it that made it so great? Being out of school? Not having homework? Not having school? I think for me it was all of the above & the fact that we got to spend time with family & friends, go out to the river, bbq's, etc. What did you enjoy about it???

Past Lives
Life's a Bee, you know the way you describe yourself as a kid in some ways I see me. Because I am quiet, and I only speak up when I get to that limit, like in your incident. I want to change that, I am not a hard person to be around, so if there is anyone that starts shit then I don't need to be around them. Simple as that. Although sometimes I think it is being passive. Past lives I am curious about, I want to try those c.d.'s. I wonder what I was/doing. I have to get going Baby S is having a story time at the library then it is off to his school.
Clothes through Time
It is always interesting to see which fashions are returning & which are completely lost. Fashion eras shows the different clothing fashions & what influenced them beginning from 1800's-Today.
Hypnosis?
About a week ago, Steph wrote a blog on reincarnation where she asked us what we thought we'd be (assuming we believed in it). My guess was that I'd be another person b/c I don't hold the emotional connection to plants, animals, or bacteria. That being said, I don't think I've EVER been any of those but for some reason I think I may have been reincarnated many times before into a series of people over different eras/lifetimes. Why do I think that? One word: Hypnosis.
Now, this goes back to when I was a kid. Growing up I was VERY quiet & would only speak up when I had to. I don't remember this story but I guess one day in kindergarden, a kid (let's just say it was a boy) took a crayon from another kid (let's say a girl) & wouldn't let her have it back. I apparently told the boy that if he was already done using it, to share it with everyone else b/c it wasn't fair. Then I told him that everyone else had already let him have it without taking it away from him so it was only fair for him to let us use it too. My teacher at the time knew I was really quiet so when I spoke up, she just sort of listened without butting in but when my mom went to pick me up, she told my mom that I was pretty quiet except for when something wasn't right/fair & that I really spoke up then. lol During my teen years my mom told me that story & it has stuck with me ever since b/c I had no idea I was already like that at such a young age. I mean, I vaguely remember it but the way I remember it was we were doing some kind of project at the library with paints and a kid did something that made me mad & I told him off. lol I guess the story makes sense. lol

During my teen years, I was also quiet so it enabled me to observe people and read between the lines when they spoke. I think that comes from my dad as does my ability to learn quick & the notion of knowing when to let things go & when to step in. My way of thinking and demeanor has never been that of a person my age...I've always known that. I always thought my brother in law was so immature for being 7 years older than me & I quite frankly didn't ever see what my sister saw in him but that's another issue. lol
Anyway, after having my son, I bought a set of 3 CD's by Dr. Weiss that put you under Hypnosis to discover who you were in a past life. I orinally bought it b/c I wanted to know if there was something behind my fascination with Egyptian things. I've only tried 1 of the cd's to the full extent and I discovered that I was alive in the late 1800's/early 1900's based on the clothing I was wearing during my hypnosis. The 2nd CD I've tried 2x but never finished it b/c it got really weird. I could see myself in different eras going back & forth between them & I couldn't quite make out what belonged where. One of the interesting things about that is that I was on the 1920's streets of perhaps Chicago at night time. It was quiet & foggy & I kept looking back as if being chased...really weird but cool. The 3rd CD always makes me fall asleep so I have no clue what happens there but I've only tried it at night when I've been super tired. I need to try it during the daytime when I'm fully awake & will not fall asleep. The problem with that is...children are awake during the day! lol
I've made this long but what I'm getting at is, have you ever tried some sort of hypnosis or past life meditation? What did you discover???

Fruits: Dates
I can't believe the number of people that have never heard of dates!! We've had a 15 lb. box sitting in the office for about a week now that nobody has been eating except me! So, here's the nutritional value of date ingredients from Emirates:
I want to try a date shake b/c it sounds yummy!!!
Mama Mia
Nothing too interesting on my side of the woods so I'm posting this short summary on one of my favorite movies even though I don't really like musicals!
The main character (Amanda Seyfried) is engaged to be married!!! Problem? She doesn't know who her dad is & wants to invite him to her wedding. So, she goes on a journey to discover the truth behind who her father is & discovers a whole other side of her mother (Meryl Streep) she didn't know. She invites her 3 potential fathers (Stellan Skarsgard, Pierce Brosnan, & Colin Firth) to the wedding without her mother knowing & her mom is in for a surprise of a lifetime when she doesn't seem to be able to tell who the father is either. :( YIKES! A comedy worth watching.
I'm looking forward to watching Letters to Juliet on Friday!!

Just keep swimming.....
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming swimming.......
That is how I feel right now. I need to just keep going and going and going....but I need to go into a positive realm not a negative one.
Inhale...in with the good....exhale out with the bad.....Inhale in with the good.....and exhale out with the bad.
This week has been bad....and its only tuesday!
Moving on to greener pastures now! Hows everyone doing? I think you can kinda sorta see how I am doing so far lol Im really sorry i haven't kept up with the blog, but sometimes I have nothing interesting or productive to say so I don't say anything.
I DO want to say this.......
Congrats to all of the Graduates out there!!! =D You have accomplished a great feat and I am sure you don't need anyone to tell you that lol CONGRATULATIONS!! wooohooo!
So now I want to end on a happy note....(geez sometimes I feel like I have bipolar disorder-angry, sad, happy and then sad again haha) anywho continuing....what is something you are thankful for lately?
*For me I would say my family and all of my wonderful friends who give me the strength to continue on this crazy path that I have chosen. Because even though it is so hard for me to believe in myself it is you guys(and you know who you are) that believe in me and give me a little glimmer of hope that I am doing the right thing and that I can do whatever I put myself to do. And in such words of wisdom "Don't stop believeing...." hahaha I really like that song I guess!
Namaste~

Get a Sticker!
Hahaha get this, I'm following Fitz Madrid on twitter and he just posted this link where you can get a free "No SB1070" sticker, you can get five if you donate three bucks and so on. I think I'm gonna get me some and hand them out! LOL.
Stretch Marks!
So this weekend, my mom & I were discussing stretch marks. She told me I needed to find something to use on them b/c if I ever get pregnant again, they will get worse! Thanks mom! lol So, regardless, I've been wanting to find something but I don't want to pay for something that's not going to work at all.
I found a lotion that works for those who already have stretch marks. It helps REDUCE the appearance of stretch marks. The name of it is Mustela Stretch Marks Intensive Action & it's $39.
Also, there's one on there that is used to help PREVENT them. This is probably a good one to keep in mind when you're pregnant or if you're in the process of loosing weight. That one is Mustela Stretch Marks Double Action & it's $37.
What do you all think? Has anyone tried either? Would you pay that much to try it?

P.S. I Love You & Leap Year
What was it about P.S. I Love You that was just so romantic?? Gerard Butler? Irishmen? The fact that he writes her letters after he's dead??? Who knows but it's such a sweet movie about not giving up on life & moving on after the death of a loved one.
Leap Year is also featured in Ireland except this one is about a woman who goes there to follow her boyfriend after he doesn't propose to her. She hears about the Irish tradition of proposing to your boyfriend on Feb. 29 and though at first she finds the idea to be quite stupid, she decides to do it anyway. During her journey to find her boyfriend, EVERYTHING goes wrong. She meets a taxi driver who ends up showing her to follow her heart's true desire. Very sweet & romantic; it made me cry!!

Up Dating and Then Some
Childhood stories to scare me? Yes, I do remember one and it wasn't the lady who drowned her kids.....lol. My mom told me once that if I hit her my hand would turn into a rock. Then there was another one that she told me about a disobident son that did not listen to his mother and he started sinking into ground and eventually he was all the way in the ground. I was about six years old when she told me those stories. What did your parents tell you?
Wowsers Steph you sound like me sometimes. I went to Wal-Mart to buy some supplies I needed and ended up spending 15 dollars over my budget. Sounds silly, but at the last time I brought something I really liked was my dance shoes....lol.
I saw the U-tube how lond did you guys stay out there?
Baby S has been sick these last couple of days and today is starting to feel better. Yesterday and the day before he was was not himself, and wanted to be hugged all the time. Today was G's cousin's 14th birthday, and his mom made a dinner and G bought a cake. We were at the table eating and the roommate here was talking about how the cousin is being provoked at school, and he told him to tell the teacher, and not to do anything unless they throw the first punch. I turned around and told G. "You need to start counceling him, you need to keep him on a leash, now is the time he needs you the most." You know what the lady said????? The school is almost over in two months. Her sister-in-law agreed.
You guys don't know how mad that made me. Because there is so much shit that goes on when a young teenager is growing up. Not only that but one needs to teach kids so that they can be in the real world. I am seriously going to take it upon myself to teach him if nobody else will.

Cinco de protest!
Yesterday, here in Yuma, Arizona, people gathered on one of our busiest intersections in town to protest the bill that Governor Jan Brewer singed into law on April 23, 2010.
I would say it was an interesting experience and one I am glad I took part in. The rally was peaceful; thank God, expect for one man who tried to instigate those protesting into picking a fight with him. His ploys however did not work and he was for the most part ignored by the protesters. And at one point was given what I like to call the "McMahon treatment". Don't know what that is? Well, I'm an avid watcher of WWE Raw and back in the day when Mr. McMahon would come out and address the crowed, every time McMahon spoke the crown would yell "WHAT?" after every sentence! That used to piss him off. LOL. That's what happened to the guy who was trying to instigate a fight. He would blab on about something and the crowd would drown his yells by cheering loudly. You can hear that in the video I'll post at the bottom of this post.
There were many people who passed by and honked in support of the protest, which I found to be awesome. I thought that my little town was going to be a lot like some of the knuckleheads who came up with the law. I was also very happy to see quite a few of my old professors either at the rally or showing their support by driving by. We did however get a few boos and this one guy in a white pedo van flipped the entire crowd off. What can you do but laugh at that situation; even more so when the guy was trying to make a clean escape and he gets stuck at the red light. Hahahaha. Priceless!
Anyway, I've included the video I took from yesterday. You get to see the crazy man tell the Mexicans to go back to Mexico! Enjoy! :P

The Five People you Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
I love this book! Not many people know about it or at least not many people I know. I first read the book when I was in college & it attracted me because of the name. I have always wondered where you go after death & how that works. Is it like it is here? Is it a whole different world? I got to thinking of that because of something my sister said to me after my brother in law died. She said when he was alive they made a pact that whoever died first would have to come back & tell the other what it was like. Well, she dreamt of him & in the dream he told her the afterlife was nothing like anyone would have imagined. That has stuck with me for years now...7 to be precise.
Perhaps it's coincidence, perhaps it was her imagination going wild but the truth is, none of us truly knows. So, we have to believe that there is an afterlife & that one of us will come back to tell the rest of us still alive. At least, I hope so.
Enough about me though, here's a short summary of the book:
An older man by the name of Eddie dies after an amusement park ride fails. After dying he enters into the afterlife & realizes that his life will now be explained by 5 people he met during his lifetime. These 5 people are not necessarily family or friends but just people that somehow changed his life even if he didn't know it at the time.
He re-lives 5 stages of his life where he met each of the 5 people & each of them tell him how they saved his life or changed his life but cost them theirs. At the end, Eddie is taken back to where he died to see the difference he made in other people's lives & see that the world carries on. He ends up choosing his own heaven and remains there forever!
For the full summary go to Wikipedia or to visit Mitch Albom to see other books by the author! I want to read them all but I'm afraid I'll start crying...see what inspired him to write them.
Perhaps it's coincidence, perhaps it was her imagination going wild but the truth is, none of us truly knows. So, we have to believe that there is an afterlife & that one of us will come back to tell the rest of us still alive. At least, I hope so.

Shoppaholicism??
I am in trouble....so the reason why I didn't blog earlier was not because of work but because I decided it would be a brilliant idea to go shopping for jeans which I really needed.
I got jeans....and then a shirt, then another one and then maybe two more. I got something I really didn't need some jewel toned bangles that are awesome and make me feel like i belong in Bollywood! =) Point is I have an issue....some people drink to relieve stress....some people eat to relieve stress....some people do other stuff to relieve stress. What do I do? I shop for stuff I probably don't really need....because its the purchase of those things that I don't need that give me the greatest joy. As you can see my prized purchase was the Bollywood bangles hahaha
What do you guys do to relieve stress? and What has been your most prized purchase recently?
Namaste!

Childhood Stories
We all know that everyone hears different stories growing up to instill fear in us & keep us from doing something. Also, as time changes, the stories change & adapt. Kids today are more knowledgeable than they were 50, 20, or even 10 years ago!!
This morning 2 of the ladies at work were discussing how similar their lives were. Both of them got married a month after high school graduation because it was the right thing for them to do. One of the ladies got pregnant right after getting married & she was embarrased that everyone would count back & think she was pregnant before being married.
The other lady was pregnant before she finished high school but because it was during a time when you got banned from school for being pregnant, she didn't say a word. Her mom noticed that she was eating more watermelon than usual so she asked her if she was pregnant & she flipped out and threw the plate of watermelon at her mom. lol She said that growing up, her parents never discussed sex, so her friends & her all believed they could get pregnant from french kissing. lol
What silly stories did you or your parents hear growing up??

An Open Letter To America By N. Reyna Amaya
I just finished reading this letter by N. Reyna Amaya. It truly encompasses a lot of the feels that I have been feeling for that last few weeks. I encourage you all to read it; she did a great job writing it.

What do you do when you're bored?
So I was wondering what you all do when you are bored? I sometimes read or watch ridiculous videos on Youtube. And then their are other times like last night, when I turned myself into an ewok. Yep, you heard me I turned myself into an ewok. I think you all know what that is but if you don't it's the cute little bear like looking thingys in the Return of the Jedi movie.
I've been wanting to try this out for a while, but didn't have the time to do it. I go the idea from Goldiestarling on youtube. She just looked so funny that I had to try it myself. I don't know why but I always end up doing these crazy looks way late at night. I was up until three this morning taking this shit off. I should probably upload the vid of me taking the cotton off so you can see the pain I was in. Hahahaha.
Anyway, here's a picture of the look with a jungle in the background and all.

You can't tell me that isn't funny! :P
PS. Guess how many cotton balls I used and ten points will be awarded to Gryffindor! :P

Role Call: The Reserved One...Present!
Ha ha, I finally made it! I went to class today it sounds hard, not that it should surprise me because why would any instructor make medical assistant in the back office easy, it would be a challenge. I read a few posts that you guys made and I am sure it will be too late to talk about it, but here I go. Life's a Bee, What was the name of that mascara you used? It sounds good! I tried one that cured the eye lashes, but never did find it again. It was a shame because it left my lashes nice and black without getting that spider legs look. It never surprises me how dumbass people are and others that follow (talking about the boobs and earthquake). Remember when I told you about Santi and his head being warm? Yep, summer is here and I need a fit too. By the time I am 60 I am going to be looking like Cher...LOL It is Santi's big day I am going to feed him rice cereal!
Eclipse!!
I know nobody has yet seen the movie but I love the saga so much I know this one won't dissapoint! Check it out!

What would you be?
So I read this quote the other day and it made me think.
"The mentality in your current life will dictate what body you will have in your next life."
Ok so hypothetically speaking, lets just say you believe in reincarnation....what body would you have in your next life?
As for me, I think I would be a Daisy...the flower. j/k I don't know what body I would have in the next life...maybe I would be a giraffe or something....some kind of herbivore animal for sure =)

It's Complicated
This movie is pretty good. Meryl Streep plays a divorcee with 3 children. 1 is enganged, 1 just graduated college, & the other is living alone. Meryl Streep got divorced from her husband (Alec Baldwin) when he cheated on her with a younger woman. It turns out that the younger woman cheated on him shortly after they were married & had a child with the other man who he now has to support. So when Meryl & Alec go to their child's graduation, they end up sleeping together causing Meryl to become the "other woman". This gets really complicated when she meets a man she truly likes & is forced to tell him & her kids that she was having an affair. It has it's funny parts but it's mostly about seeing the world from a different angle.
Oil Spill
Did you hear about the oil spill that's been going on for some time now? Well, in the news today, there were talking about something they could do to help prevent more spillage of oil. I'm thinking, why didn't these idiots do that before it got to the point it's at now? They could have saved themselves 3 months worth of oil dropped in the ocean.
The worse part is that there is fish & wildlife in the area where the oil is at. That affects ALL OF OUR food supply not just the people in that area! Food supply diminishes there, prices of food increase especially seafood because it's harder to get. Other foods are used up faster as a result and everyone suffers. The wildlife dying in that area is also a cause for alarm because they have an impact on our way of life. They eat insects there, without them we have more infestation, many things in our environment changes.
Ever seen A Sound of Thunder? It's a big deal!
