Isn't it funny how once you get past 21 yrs. of age, time flies like there is no tomorrow?!  Well, can you believe that this year is ALMOST GONE & the holidays are going to be knocking on our doors soon? I can't & I'm sure as heck not ready for it!

I'm excited for the holidays (as I always am) even though they are going to come & go REALLY QUICK.

Since Halloween falls on a Sunday, I propose we have a Halloween party on Saturday Oct. 30 & do something a bit different (beside the food & fun).  We will all come up with a game to bring to the party & a prize for the winner of that game.  At the end of all the games, we all vote on the game we enjoyed the most & that person wins a BIG PRIZE (provided by me)!  ;)  What do you say?  You in or out?

Glee-Britney Spears Episode

I had been wanting to see the Glee Britney Spears Episode since I saw the previews & I missed it!!!  So here it is for all the Gleeks & or Britney fans.

You guys have probably already heard about the controversy of the Sesame Street where Katy Perry does a song with Elmo. Some parents had beef with Perry's outfit so they pulled the segment and it won't be aired in the program anymore. For those of you who have kids (and those who don't) what's your take on this? I'm curious do you also have a problem with her attire or the video?

Reluctantly...

I am reluctantly posting my visage without any makeup... I don't have the most even skin tone so I definitely like to cover that up. I don't like the weird patchy spots or gray areas, damn it! LOL. But alas, this is me without makeup and without doing jack squat with my hair either. Boom! DOUBLE WHAMMY! In yo' face! :P

So like always, I was on Youtube watching crazy vids and KassemG posted a new California On video. Basically he goes out and asks strangers in Cali questions on whatever that day's topic may be. The past two California On videos were one Canada and England.

To an extant I wouldn't expect people to answer all the questions asked correctly since... well they don't live in either of these places and it's to be expected that they not know everything about them. But today's California On was on America. Think they fared better? Hell no! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. For shame... for shame. LOL.

Here is my makeup less face. lol I hate going out without any makeup and even more so to take a pic and post it on the internet. Either way I posted my pic....and it's not so bad. Hispanic Heritage Month!!

This is something that I have always wanted to do, since F.O.R.E.V.E.R!! See I had a very, very, very big imagination when I was little. I always wanted to learn how to dance ballet....and I always wanted to learn how to dance Mexican folkoric dancing as well. I grew up and well let's face I probably won't learn to dance ballet.....especially not now. But I think I still have a chance at learning Mexican folkoric dancing.

I will say this, more than anything I LOVE the attire that they have to wear. I love the colors, fabric, flowers, everything about it. I also love cultures.....sooo I am adding a little culture to my blog! In commemoration of Hispanic heritage month and because I just totally felt super duper Mexican today, here you go. A video of the traditional dance of Nayarit, which is where my momma is from. I will also include a dance for Son de la negra, I really like that song for some reason :)

FYI.....those are real machetes that they use in the dance................now that's hardcore! Do NOT mess with the Cora indigenous people of Nayarit, they dance with machetes....for fun. j/k I love my culture, I love my mom's culture and I am so honored and glad that my mom has shared these things with me. Thanks mom!!

Cooking/Baking & Bones

Have you ever prepared a COMPLETE MEAL from beginning to end?  I have plenty times & today the meal was dinner.  Hubby helped with the fish & toasted garlic bread & I made rice, steamed veggies & cookies for dessert.  If I would have had more time, I would have thought of an appetizer but I'm glad I didn't because we had leftovers & I would have gone overboard.  However, I want to know what meal you have prepared, what was it, & how long did it take you?  Do you also go overboard when you cook/bake?

Also, did you watch the season premiere of Bones?  Seriously, Booth & Bones just need to kiss & makeup already!!  How long are they going to postpone it?  We all know they will get together...darn tv shows!!!

Faults again!!

I've been on vacation for a week now & today is the last day of my vacation; it went by so fast! This isn't a complaint about my vacation though but here is why I mentioned it. It's been hot as heck & I've been wearing shorts & skirts all week long but yesterday I was sitting at my desk trying to log in to post my blog when I looked down at my legs & here's what I saw:

Blinding, pale white legs!!  YIKES!  I need to get a self tanner or something cuz my legs never, ever TAN!! Anyway, I freaked, started getting self conscious & knitpicking everything wrong with me...so I stopped & said, "your legs just need some sun, chill!"  lol  Then I decided to post a picture of myself with no makeup just to prove to myself that there's nothing wrong with me!  lol  Here it is:

Blog post fail.....

Once again I have failed my duties as a blogger.....I will try to go on here as much as I possibly can and do some blogs. I think part of the problem right now other than having school on tuesday nights is that I feel like I have nothing fun/interesting/important to say so i just don't.

Bear with me I am trying to get my creativity back.....it is slowly, I repeat slowly coming back.....very slowly....kind of like snail speed. lol I think finally my body is coming back to it's normal state....thank goodness that this week I don't feel so dang emo.....jeez it was getting to me already.

But anyways just a little update on what's going on my end of the woods. Work, school, work, tons of homework....sleep, eat and then do it all over again. Sounds fantastic doesn't it? Not really but it's what I have right now and I should just deal/assimilate it, enjoy it (if possible), and make the best of what I have now.

So now it's sleepy time.....I have to get up super duper early so buenas noches everyone!

Today was a pretty boring day for me. I was so epically bored until @soundlyawake posted a video to his facebook fan page saying that we should check out this chicks video's. He said that she was an American who was vlogging about her experience of being in Japan and teaching English. I must say I was hooked! It was just super interesting to see her perspective and so I had to watch all of the videos she's posted so far; 38 of them to be exact.

Searching for Faults

Ok so I've long complained that I wasn't quite as gifted as others in the breast department even though I'm pretty happy with what I've got.  My husband kept telling me that if I was that unhappy about it, to get a boob job (typical right?) & I kept telling him no b/c I like my natural ones & I'm just always going to complain when my shirt or dress doesn't fit right.  lol  I also told thim that if there was a way to gain weight in your boobs rather than on your stomach and thighs, I'd be a happy woman.  lol 

So, yesterday he told me about this new procedure they have where they take your fat from your stomach & thighs, combine it with stem cells, & implant them in your breast. In theory, if you wanted bigger boobs, you'd gain weight.  I looked it up today & it's not really a new procedure but they're doing it in Britain.  Take a look here.

Kind of funky if you ask me but I still don't think I'd do it. lol I'm impossible I know. What do you think? Would you do it?

Littering

I think I can safely speak for all when I say that we don't like our river area littered by insensitive fools.  However, when they litter something with their name on it...well, that's beyond dumb!  Take a look here:

Obviously these people weren't thinking when they decided to dump the vehicle here.  What's funnier about all this, they didn't do it on public property (not by the river), they dumped it on a farmer's land!!  Thankfully, the farmer doesn't have any crops in this particular lot but still...when he goes to develop the land, I'm sure he'll have a blast with this one!  lol  Unless of course, he gave them permission...

Human Trafficking

I don't know if you guys have ever used craigslist for anything, but recently it came under fire because of the fact that they advertised "adult services."

According to an email I got from Change.org, only last week did Craiglist finally give into pressure from human rights groups, 17 state attorney generals, and 10,000 Change.org members, and removed its "adult services" section.

So you may be asking yourself what's the beef with the adult services section? Well, other than providing adult services (e.g. adult prostitution), it also provided ads to buy sex with a child forced in to prostitution. According to Change.org, "sex trafficking remains one of the most pervasive, abusive and unacknowledged crimes in America. There are more than 100, 000 children sold for sex in the U.S. each year and a majority of whom are 11 to 14 years old."

While it is good that Craigslist got rid of their "adult services" section they have only done so for the U.S., meaning that the "erotic services" on the rest of 250+ international sites is still game. WTF?

It's pretty sick to know that a freaken pedo can just go onto a website and set up this sort of thing without truly having to worry about anything. Craigslist "helped normalize the practice and gave it a safe space on the web" and it made it easier for the creepos to browse Craigslist while at work and make arrangements for their disgusting acts after hours on the weekends.

I for one despise this sort of thing so I signed a petition put forth by Change.org asking the head hanchos at Craiglist fight human trafficking on all of its sites. If you'd also like to sign it check the widget down below.

It was early in the morning and I was getting ready to go school. I was a junior in high school.  

I had just gotten into the shower and had the radio on as I did every morning listening to the only radio station that played rock; 98.3. Creep by Radiohead happened to playing that morning and I was happily singing along. Being that it was one of my favorite songs, I was a little annoyed when all of the sudden the radio host guy interrupts the song to relay an important message. He says that a plane has crashed into one of the World Trade Center towers in New York.  He seems in utter disbelief that he is actually making this claim; I myself don’t believe him and think he is truly mistaken. There’s no way in hell that happened. How the hell did a plane hit a building???

I figured since it was a radio station that was streaming from across the border in Mexico, perhaps they had misunderstood whatever they thought they heard happened... if they weren‘t making it all up that is. I continue with my business and get out of the shower a few minutes later. I need to find out if the radio guy is right so, I head over to the t.v. in the living room to check the news. 

I stood their in completely disbelief with my jaw literally hanging open.  Every news channel was replaying the clip of the second airplane hitting the South tower. It was so freaken horrible! I didn’t know anyone who lived in New York or anyone in the buildings, but regardless tears were just streaming down my face. 

My mom had heard that I was watching the t.v. and came to see what was going on since I never watched t.v. while getting ready for school.  As we stood there watching the live footage of the two burning buildings, I don’t think either of us understood exactly what was going on. 

When I got to school, I had History as my first period class. Needless to say, as I walked into class everyone who was already in there was glued to the t.v. 

You’d see groups of students talking about what was going on, you’d see the horror on the teacher’s faces and you’d see other students slightly crying. This is how it was the entire day… This, along with the footage that kept replaying that day, is now burned into my memory forever. This is how I remember this day and I'll never forget.

I got an email earlier telling me about this video parody of Jan Brewer's Arizona or what it will be like if she is wins this Nov and becomes remains our (Arizona) Governor.

Here's the description of the video and afterwards I'll post the video. Let me know what you think. Did it go too far or is it just funny/awesome enough to get the point across?

Guys are A-holes!

Here's an interesting story:

About 2 weeks ago I added a guy to my MS "friends" b/c I thought he was one of those people looking for more app. adds.  No big deal!  So I start talking to him & come to find out, he's not online for apps, no, no, no...he's there to make girl "friends".  WTF?!  So I tell him, "well you got the wrong person; I'm in no way shape or form the least bit interested in a sexual liason with you or anyone for that matter!"  He says, "relax, I wasn't even trying but you are ________ (list of compliments)." I say, "well thanks but I'm still not interested & that's what you tell them all I bet.  I'm not like the rest of them. So, if that's all you want I suggest you get packing."

He says, "no, we can still be friends.  I'm married too." & he goes on to talk about other stuff.  I thought, "what a douche! but I guess he had to try..." & don't ask me why but I continued talking to this guy.  That day he gave me his 2 phone #s so I'd call him but I told him I didn't see a point to it & agreed to do it if he'd post his pictures & leave them there for 7 days straight which I knew he wouldn't b/c he's married & doesn't want to get caught. 

Anyway, the point of all this is that the guy is a jerk off!  He's just like all the other guys.  There's no guy on his planet that hasn't ever cheated or thought about cheating & the sad part of it all, we may never know if our man is or not!  I know, we have to trust them but how naive can you be to think there's 100% chance he isn't?!!  This guy's wife seems to turn her head.  From what he's told me, she says to him, "when you're here, be here b/c who knows who you belong to when you leave." & according to him, she even got him a bag of condoms & told him to use them if he was going to cheat that way she could at least keep some peace of mind.  WTF?  Are you kidding, lady?!!!

So what I'm trying to get at is ALL GUYS ARE THE SAME no matter what anyone else says to disagree!
