Have you read the amended bill? It states that they can't use race, color, or national origin as the basis for determining immigration status & that a person is considered to be here legally if he/she is able to provide the law enforcement officer or agency with any of the following:
1. A VALID ARIZONA DRIVER LICENSE.
2. A VALID ARIZONA NONOPERATING IDENTIFICATION LICENSE.
3. A VALID TRIBAL ENROLLMENT CARD OR OTHER FORM OF TRIBAL IDENTIFICATION.
4. IF THE ENTITY REQUIRES PROOF OF LEGAL PRESENCE IN THE UNITED STATES BEFORE ISSUANCE, ANY VALID UNITED STATES FEDERAL, STATE OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ISSUED IDENTIFICATION.
This is much better than having to carry your birth certificate, visa, etc. with you.

I would deal better with it if they made all officer ask everyone they pull over or get involved with to prove their citizenship.
Also, I'd still be pissed off if by chance they thought I was doing something illegal while I was out for a bike ride or something and I didn't have my identification on me and were fined or arrested for that.
I agree & either way you look at it, this will lead to racial profiling.
