Cinco de protest!

Yesterday, here in Yuma, Arizona, people gathered on one of our busiest intersections in town to protest the bill that Governor Jan Brewer singed into law on April 23, 2010.

I would say it was an interesting experience and one I am glad I took part in. The rally was peaceful; thank God, expect for one man who tried to instigate those protesting into picking a fight with him. His ploys however did not work and he was for the most part ignored by the protesters. And at one point was given what I like to call the "McMahon treatment". Don't know what that is? Well, I'm an avid watcher of WWE Raw and back in the day when Mr. McMahon would come out and address the crowed, every time McMahon spoke the crown would yell "WHAT?" after every sentence! That used to piss him off. LOL. That's what happened to the guy who was trying to instigate a fight. He would blab on about something and the crowd would drown his yells by cheering loudly. You can hear that in the video I'll post at the bottom of this post.

There were many people who passed by and honked in support of the protest, which I found to be awesome. I thought that my little town was going to be a lot like some of the knuckleheads who came up with the law. I was also very happy to see quite a few of my old professors either at the rally or showing their support by driving by. We did however get a few boos and this one guy in a white pedo van flipped the entire crowd off. What can you do but laugh at that situation; even more so when the guy was trying to make a clean escape and he gets stuck at the red light. Hahahaha. Priceless!

Anyway, I've included the video I took from yesterday. You get to see the crazy man tell the Mexicans to go back to Mexico! Enjoy! :P

Nice! It was neat to see that NOT ALL the people there were of Hispanic decent. I didn't hear the douche though. I think the crowd was way louder than he was & what was the deal with the guy in the red shirt on your side of the street? Was that the instigator??
