Get this bull!
Last night I decided to call the police dept. to see if my report was in records so I could get a copy of it. I need the copy of the report to ask the companies where the purchases were made to give me all the info they have on who made the purchase. When I called the police dept. they told me there was no report filed, that it was just an "event". Are you kidding? That means they're not investigating crap! So, I'm going to have to do the investigation myself & hope that the person responsible gets arrested! This is not cool at all, why would they not file a report? I don't get it! I'm very dissapointed in the darn police force...are they not taking this serious?! It's theft people! Whether I got reimbursed for it or not, it's still considered theft. How could you not take it serious? I really don't get it!

This is the second time I've heard of them doing nothing. I don't understand what goes on with our PD.
Crystal had called them a couple of weeks ago for a DV case and the responding officer didn't do jack about the fact the her bro had beat her. I was so pissed! He had told her if she didn't drop it that she would be the one getting arrested, so of course she dropped it.
Situations like this make me not want to join the force at all. I feel that while we have quite a few great officers in town we also have a lot of them that tarnish our PD's view.
I wish we would go back to having it be a prerequisite that officers have to have a four year college degree. They say those officers with a college degree have better critical thinking skills and can handle situations better.
Hmmm, I totally went off on a tangent. But yes, I agree total bull! Did you contact the FBI yet?
I went on the site but it just gives you a list of things to do to report the crime. One of them being to report it to police and send letters to all the places where the criminal made purchases to get information on where the items where shipped, what name, etc. So, I will be doing that probably tonight & mailing them tomorrow.
The other thing is to report any information you have about your case on the FBI database for them to be able to use for their records. They don't actually investigate your case though.
So, the only other thing I can do is call the police dept. again & request that it be filed as a report so that I can press charges against whoever did this. It's not right & it's even worse that the police won't do anything about it.
That is a buch of bull. It gets me mad to hear police officers do that, and so much more hearing what happened in Crystals case. They should have them do a four year degree, but you know what Maritza you can accually make a difference. Could you bust the ones that don't do shit about it????
I agree that they should require a 4 year degree though. You can't be a productive officer without it. Sorry!
Crystal's case is far worse b/c that's a life & death situation. If the abuse goes on too long, it has a higher probability that it will result in death. The problem with abusive people is that if you decide to go to the police, it makes them even more abusive & what's worse, since nothing was done about it, they think they can get away with it.
Crystal now will be afraid to report anything that happens for fear of retaliation from him. That's sad! The police force needs to step it up a few notches!
Party of 3, what you can do is talk to their supervisor to report the lack of enforcement. Arizona is a no tolerance on domestic violence/abuse so there should be no reason why they didn't file a report unless there's corruption going on, which I wouldn't doubt in the least bit. Time for an intervention on the police force!
