On the heroin packet, criminals would print their "brand" of heroin. One guy got mad at another for dealing in his terrority & stealing his brand name. So, he began producing a different brand called Shooters which was a picture of 2 guns facing each other in an effort to send the other dealer a message. Interesting huh?
The Heroin Stamp Project show is scheduled to open today with a display of packets picked off the streets in an art gallery in New York. The point of the show you ask? Simply "to examine the intersection of advertising and addiction and provoke questions about how society addresses dependence and disease."
