"The bill, known as SB 1070, makes it a misdemeanor to lack proper immigration paperwork in Arizona. It also requires police officers, if they form a "reasonable suspicion" that someone is an illegal immigrant, to determine the person's immigration status."
So how is this against racial profiling? If a police officer is allowed to ask for proof of immigration upon reasonable suspicion, & everyone who fails to provide proof will be commiting a misdemeanor? What exactly is reasonable suspicion?? What is it based on?
In my opinion, if you look "white" and speak perfect English, you will probably not be asked to provide proof because there is no reasonable suspicion there. So, therefore, it will target all people who look of hispanic decent & don't speak proper English. What does that tell you?
Also, don't forget to carry your wallet at all times b/c you will be commiting a misdemeanor!!

I loved George Lopez' status update on Saturday! He wrote that he was changing the word patron to more closely match Arizona to Pat Ron! LOL
Interesting article to read in regards to the worlds view on SB1070

I agree with the article 100%. I wish Jan Brewer would see that. I simply don't see any of the darn benefits of this bill & the sad part is, the citizens of Arizona couldn't vote at all on this!! What else are they going to impose on us?!!
SB1097 'nough said
I sure as heck hope not! Bastards!
