Its that time already?

Hi everyone!

Sorry I have been MIA yet again. School has started already and you know what that means.....no time for anything. hahaha such positivity huh?

This semester I think will be very interesting. There will be alot of self analysis and I might get to practice some of the theories on others (do i have any volunteers?) and I will get to learn about all of the different validated assessments available out for us to use and I will also have the opportunity to learn more about alcohol and substance abuse.

So it's been the first week and we are SWAMPED with homework already. But from being swamped with homework I was able to come across a really awesome website full of personality tests and what not. I was required to take the ZTPI for class and also went ahead and took the Project Implicit test. The ZTPI survey is supposed to reflect how you see time and how your view of time affects your daily life. The project implicit test is supposed to test you on how your subconscious self views the world, according to the site(it's an actual study that is being conducted) it is created in a way that will stand up to biases and a person's conscious manipulation of their answers to get results they would like to see. This website has alot of other cool personality tests that we can take to learn more about ourselves. :)

The website is: http://sidsavara.com/personal-development/free-online-personality-type-tests-and-psychology-tests

There is also another test that you can take it's called Fredrickson's Positivity Ratio test. You can take this test as many times as you'd like over an extended time frame just to see how your positivity fluctuates or stays the same. The link to this is: http://www.positivityratio.com/

I haven't read it yet but I have heard that Positivity the book from Dr. Fredrickson the creator of the Positivity Ratio test is a GREAT read. It's highly recommended by some classmates as well as the professor so I think I will read this as soon as I can. :)

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Namaste,
Steph

Here are my scores...

Time Perspective

Past-negative 3.30
Past-positive 3.56
Present-hedonistic 3.73
Present-fatalistic 3.11
Future 3.08

Explanation

When looking at all data collected so far, the average score on each of the time perspectives is different. The average score for each time perspective lines up with 50% on the graph. For example, on the past negative time perspective, people's average score is 3.0. On the past positive it is 3.7. We’ve taken into account the dispersion of scores so that a 4.4 on the past negative is the 98%, while it takes a 4.9 on the past positive to reach the 98%.

Ok so now I have to figure out what it all means...

Ok so I focus on the present pleasures of life. I guess that makes sense. What surprised me was that I'm not as future oriented as I thought I was. I'm more past conscious.

Apparently I prefer straights over gays. I hated the 2nd part of this test where you have to identify the 2nd word & not the first.

Too fast, my head hurt! lol I had to keep telling myself, green word, green word. lol

I got a 4 something on the positivity ratio. This test is a bit weird especially when u divide the day in sections. It takes forever; wouldn't recommend. :P

Ok, so I focus on good things of the past. I would say yep, this is right.
