So yesterday I found this music video by Natasha Bedingfield called Strip Me. You know how sometimes you find something; in my case this time a song, that inspires you? You usually find something like a phrase or a tune or a picture or what have that just reaches you on that whole other level.
For some reason in this video I was inspired by a phrase she sings: "I'm only one voice in a million but you ain't taking that from me." I don't know, it's a bit corny, but I feel in this time and age with all the craziness happening that this line really sums up how I feel. You know what I mean?
What are some things that have inspired you?

PS. I freaken love the makeup looks in the video. The one that really stood out to me was the one where she has gold leaf on her face. I even had a dream last night that I went shopping for supplies for this look. LOL. I'm gonna have to try it out! :D

It's not corny at all! It's one of those women empowerment songs. It wasn't just refering to women of course but to freedom of expression.
I get where you're coming from & I have many forms of inspiration. Sometimes you find them in the oddest of places. It's usually been songs, poems, nature, friends & family.
This morning I found it brushing my teeth & thinking about my ex coworker who's in the hospital struggling to get better. My friend M.U. who has had a growing list of medical problems as the years go by, & my friend U.G. who has just recently found medical problem after medical problem.
I agree, not in the least bit corny, it's fabulous!! :)
Great song and yes I think I agree with you here CriminologyNerd in that there's too much craziness going on in this world. TOO MUCH DRAMA!!!
I stand by what the Dalai Lama said in one of his tweets (yes I know huh, he tweets!) It was something along these lines....when we have the ability to be compassionate, understanding, and respectful towards each other that's when we shall have peace. I don't know if it was exactly like that, but that's what I remember lol
I too find inspiration in so many things/people/animals. It just really depends. Sometimes I can look down and see a beautiful flower and that will inspire me for the rest of the day, or look up at the sky and just stare at it's beautiful and perfect hue of blue....see now THAT was corny hahaha I agree with you Lifesabee that there are so many people, family and friends that have gone through so much and they are still standing that it inspires me to continue moving forward, because if they can do it so can I.
Namaste :)
I didn't know the Dalai Lama tweeted but I will have to go check it out ;) lol
I do agree with what he said even though we know people are too self-involved to even bother being more compassionate & caring towards others.
Still, we have to keep the hope alive! :P
