Guilty Food Pleasures

I feel guilty for taking 2 bites of the Mars Almond Chocolate Bar.  I took it to work this morning because yesterday I was craving something for a snack & had nothing with me.  I figured I could eat it when I needed to snack on something.

So, it was sitting on my desk by my water bottle (I should have put it out of sight) and it kept calling me but I kept ignoring it because I also have some grapes I could be eating & they are a much healthier choice.  However, I lasted about 3.5 hours and then I had to have some.  I have no clue why I gave in...starting to become stressed perhaps?  It was time for a snack?  Who knows but what I do know is that it tasted sooo good!

I shouldn't have ate it though because then I couldn't stop eating it.  1 bar is 220 calories!!  I could have eaten 1/2 of it & it still would have gone past my 100 calorie snack limit.  I do so well with chocolates at home though; it makes no sense.  I guess work isn't the best place to take chocolates because you're sure to eat way more than you intended to.

Last week one of my co-workers brought in a sandwich bag with plain M&M's & I ate the whole thing in a heartbeat.  The bag was about 1/4 full but still.  I just kept shoving them in my mouth one after the other.  It's horrible I know but I coudn't help it.  Ok so I could have helped it but it's like that Pringles commercial, "Once you pop, you can't stop!"  :P

What's your guilty pleasure food that you always end up eating way more than you wanted to?

My guilty food is cookies, and CHOCOLATES. I love them, I am trying to get better and excerise more. Lately, I have rented an excerise video they are broken into ten mintues and then I go walk the beach peir because it is a mile. Because Santi is still little I can't excerise the way I want to and I have to take this alternative rought instead.

Take it from me though, you can't EVER truly exercise like you want to with kids around.

Right now that he's learning to crawl you have to watch him 24/7 to make sure he doesn't get hurt or shove something in his mouth. Then when he starts walking, you have to follow them around all the time to make sure they don't do things they aren't supposed to like stuff something in their mouth, play with dangerous things (forks, rocks, pens), or stick their fingers inside sockets/drawers, etc.

My best exercise is doing something with baby H. It keeps him entertained & I can watch him at the same time. When he was smaller I would put him on my stomach & do crunches like that. When he was just walking, I would use him as my personal weights & lift him up & down.

Now, when he gets real rowdy, I just swing him back & forth with my arms; it's a workout for sure! He also loves to watch me jump the rope so I do it when he's far enough away & I make sure I'm watching where he's at all times to avoid hitting him with it.

My dilemma right now is that I'd love to have workout machines/bikes at home but he'd want to climb on them as I work out so I don't think that I'd use them even if I had them. :( Bikes are another issue because if we go out on bike rides, how do we carry him? We'd have to buy those seats behind you or pull him on a cart & that's just scary!

So, in the end, it's all just taking him out for walks/jogs with me and since it's hot as can be, I haven't.
